SPORTS JOURNALISTS FEDERATION OF INDIA (SJFI) National Convention is set to return to the capital, with the event scheduled to take place in New Delhi from 13 to 16 March. Hosted by the Delhi Sports Journalists Association (DSJA), the convention has secured Hero MotoCorp as its title sponsor.
This year’s four-day convention will mark the Golden Jubilee celebration of SJFI, making it one of the most significant editions in the organisation’s history. In addition to Hero MotoCorp, 23 organisations and brands have partnered with DSJA to support the event.
The list of partners includes TCM Sports, SONY Sports Network, Punjab Kings, Red Bull, Delhi Capitals, DDCA, Jindal Steel, Rajasthan United Football Club, Archery Association of India, Svayam, RPL, PEFI, SG Sports, WordsWork Communications Consulting, Modern Pythian Games, JK Tyre, DDA, Artsmith Concepts & Vision, Adimazes, Aabhawater, VIDA and ESGF.
The strong corporate backing highlights the growing commercial appeal of the convention. DSJA has also received institutional support from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS), the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).
Over the course of four days, the convention will combine professional dialogue with sporting activities and networking opportunities. The programme will feature a Grand Sports Conclave with leading sports administrators and Olympic icons, along with the JK Bose Inter-Zonal T20 Cricket Tournament and the AC Bali Table Tennis Tournament.
Family and youth engagement activities will also form a major part of the schedule, including the Modern Pythian Games, a Red Bull gaming station and a prize distribution ceremony attended by prominent dignitaries. In addition, competitions in basketball, futsal and golf putting are planned during the event.
DSJA secretary Sabi Hussain said, “Hosting the 50-year milestone celebration is a huge honour. The incredible backing that we have received from our brand partners shows how powerful the Indian sports media network has become. We are set to deliver an exceptional event experience and a strong platform to our stakeholders connecting the sports, media and corporate world.”
