HIMALAYA WELLNESS, through its face wash brand, has unveiled the 1derwoman Academy in conjunction with National Girl Child Day. Building on the momentum of its 1derwoman initiative which focuses on helping young girls overcome challenges, the Academy aims to bridge the gap between aspiring cricketers and the women athletes they admire.
The 1derwoman Academy has been conceived as a long-term commitment to creating opportunities for young girls. Through the platform, Himalaya Wellness is inviting aspiring cricketers from across India to register for a chance to secure one of 100 scholarships, while also gaining access to motivational content, cricketing insights and confidence-building guidance directly from the RCB Women’s team.
Developed as an interactive chatbot, the Academy journey begins with a welcome message from the RCB Women’s team and progresses to personalised responses and tips from individual players. The experience is designed to feel accessible and personal, transforming inspiration into action and turning role models into real mentors. Participants who complete the program receive a certificate, with their final submission doubling as a scholarship application underscoring Himalaya Wellness’s focus on creating meaningful and lasting impact, per the media release.
Extending the initiative beyond the digital space, Himalaya Wellness also brought the 1derwoman movement to the ground through a cricket tournament organised in collaboration with the Female Cricket Academy. The tournament attracted over 200 registrations, with 25 young girls earning the opportunity to meet members of the RCB Women’s team.
Himalaya Wellness business director – consumer products division Rajesh Krishnamurthy said, “At Himalaya, our approach is anchored in building purposeful initiatives that deliver measurable impact. With the launch of the 1derwoman Academy, we are strengthening this commitment by moving beyond inspiration to action, building a structured pathway that supports learning, confidence, and long-term growth for young girls.”
Himalaya Wellness marketing director – beauty & personal care Ragini Hariharan added, “1derwoman was created to ensure young girls don’t just admire role models from afar, but feel supported in their own journeys. The Academy allows us to scale this intent by combining technology with credible voices, making mentorship accessible, relatable and relevant for today’s generation.”
