HYROX, the global fitness race, is set to stage its first-ever two-day event in India with HYROX Bengaluru 2026, and the early response has been nothing short of remarkable. Since registrations opened on 4 December, more than 5,000 athletes have already signed up, making it one of the fastest-selling HYROX races in the country to date.
Scheduled for 11 and 12 April 2026 at Hall 04, Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), the Bengaluru edition builds on the strong momentum generated by HYROX’s successful debut in India. The format first arrived in Mumbai with 1,500 participants, followed by a high-octane Delhi race featuring 2,500 athletes, before returning to Mumbai in September for a record-breaking event that saw over 3,300 competitors take part. With Bengaluru, HYROX India now aims to raise the bar once again, targeting more than 8,000 participants.
The two-day race has already attracted a diverse field within its first week, with international athletes from 22 countries registering for the event highlighting HYROX’s rapidly expanding footprint within India’s fitness landscape. Current registration data shows a participation split of 68% men and 32% women, reflecting broad and balanced interest across categories.
Adding to its significance, HYROX Bengaluru 2026 will serve as a qualifying event for the 2026 HYROX World Championships, scheduled to be held in Stockholm in June. The race will offer India’s top performers a direct pathway to compete on the global stage of hybrid fitness racing.
HYROX India country head Deepak Raj said, “After the overwhelming success of HYROX Mumbai, which truly captured the imagination of the country, we’ve seen an unprecedented surge of interest from across India. Bangalore, my hometown and a city that epitomises India’s evolving fitness culture, is the natural next chapter in this journey. With strong demand from the local community and a lot of excitement on the ground, the stage is set for a historic weekend for fitness in India and for HYROX to become the country’s biggest fitness race.”
