LONDON: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has extended its partnership with UK-based ITN Productions’ sport team for digital clip production services that is covering the ICC Women’s World T20 at present and will do so for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales as well.
The deal follows ITN Productions’ successful integration for ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and ICC Women’s World Cup 2017. Star players and key moments will be showcased in a variety of ways, from individual clips of in-match content for clip licensees and ICC digital, to curated packages and highlights clips for ICC partners, members and news access.
Match content will be repurposed to maximise key incidents, with editors reacting as matches unfold and focusing on clips with viral potential. ITN Productions will work in partnership with the ICC and their suppliers and licensees to deliver fast-turnaround content.
ICC media rights chief Aarti Singh Dabas said: “We were very happy with ITN Productions’ editorial and publishing solutions provided during cricket’s global pinnacle events in 2017. We are continually striving to deliver faster and better-quality content to our fans and partners and we are confident that ITN will successfully help us deliver that objective during our two major events.”
ITN Productions’ head of sports partnerships Tim Godfrey said: “As an experienced partner of the ICC we’re delighted to continue to bring their digital content to life. Our technical workflow is tried and tested to ensure that high quality footage is delivered to fans and stakeholders as quickly as possible.”
