MUMBAI: Star Sports is going wall to wall with coverage of the forthcoming VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, offering two hours of dedicated time bands daily for IPL programming till the start of the tournament.
Appointment Viewing for IPL, for the very first time will include two dedicated hour-long time bands for programs airing across the Star Sports network.
Star Sports has lined up a dedicated daily dose of proprietary shows such as Game Plan, Cricket Countdown, franchise specific episodes and a lot more.
As a lead-up to IPL 2018, content such as team documentaries, player banter and talk shows will also be a regular feature on the network.
The IPL 2018 retention telecast was the beginning of the six-month programming calender which was followed by Election Se Selection marketing campaign featuring Virender Sehwag, leading up to the player auction.
The 11th edition of the auction was viewed by 46.5 million people across the Star Sports network.
In addition to feeds in Hindi and English, Star Sports has added telecast in four regional languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali in this edition of world cricket’s most valuable annual property.
