ROUND 2 of the JK Tyre Racing season 2025 is set for 27–28 September at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, promising two action-packed days across multiple categories — the JK Tyre Novice Cup, the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup, and the debut of the single-make JK Tyre Levitas Cup.
Making its season debut, the JK Tyre Levitas Cup will see 14 drivers take to the grid in identically prepared Maruti Suzuki Ignis race cars. Featuring rookies alongside gentlemen drivers, the new category creates a level playing field where pure driving talent will shine. The Ignis, originally powered by a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 82 bhp, has been race-prepped with upgrades including a standalone ECU, cold air intake, and free-flow exhaust for heightened performance.
The Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup, presented by JK Tyre, returns with its signature Pro-Am format on the GT-R650s. In the Professional class, Bengaluru’s Anish Shetty leads with 30 points after a dominant Round 1, followed by Mumbai’s Kayan Patel (19) and defending champion Navaneeth Kumar of Pondicherry (12). In the Amateur class, Pondicherry’s Bryan Nicholas holds a perfect 36 points, with Johring Warisa (27) and Saran Kumar (19) in pursuit.
In the JK Tyre Novice Cup, India’s entry-level single-seater series with 1300cc Suzuki Swift engines, Bengaluru’s teenage prodigy Bhuvan Bonu (Team MSport) stamped authority in the opening round, topping the standings with 30 points. Hot on his heels are Bengaluru’s Prathik Ashok (Team DTS Racing, 17 points behind) and Navi Mumbai’s Ojas Surve (15 points), who finished mere seconds adrift, keeping the championship fight wide open.
With close battles across all categories, Round 2 of the JK Tyre Racing season promises high-octane racing and dramatic finishes at Kari Motor Speedway this weekend.
