TEAM INDIA wrapped up their campaign at the FIA Asia-Pacific Motorsport Championship 2025 in Sri Lanka on Sunday with one gold and two silver medals.
Nine-year-old Aaruthran Prabu from Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu, delivered a stellar performance to clinch gold in the Cadet class of the Karting Slalom event, dominating both rounds before being confirmed as the winner late in the evening.
Meanwhile, 15-year-old Aarav Dewan from Gurugram secured silver in the Senior class of the Karting Sprint, while Chikmagaluru’s Tarushi Vikram—already a silver medallist at the Asian Auto Gymkhana Championship—added another to her tally with a strong run in the Gymkhana category.
Dewan’s runner-up finish, however, offered little consolation for India after podium contenders Kiaan Shah (Juniors) and Rehan Khan Rasheed (Cadet) were forced to retire in their finals due to a mechanical failure and a crash respectively.
Eight-year-old Arshi Gupta of Faridabad also impressed, narrowly missing out on a podium by just five-hundredths of a second behind Hong Kong China’s Sum Lo in fourth place. Bengaluru’s Rayan Gowda completed the line-up, finishing ninth in the Cadet Final.
