KOLKATA: Real estate major Bengal Peerless Housing Development Company Ltd, Wednesday announced for India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly as its brand ambassador.
Ganguly, currently president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), will primarily lead the Avidipta II campaign.
Avidipta II is situated at EM Bypass and is in close proximity to all international hotels, renowned hospitals, education institutes and entertainment zones. It is well connected with all major landmarks and will provide easy connectivity with the proposed metro. Avidipta II will consist of two 47 storied towers and it will be the tallest tower in EM Bypass. It will be India’s most affordable luxury housing project with prices below Rs 10,000 per sq ft. Sourav’s association is expected to rope in more revenue for the company.
The buyer mix includes local HIG’s and also a good number of NRI’s. Kolkata in recent times has witnessed a boom in the luxury housing segment. According to market study, the luxury housing segment in Kolkata has huge potential and will be a major focus amongst all the real estate developers. Mumbai is India’s wealthiest city as per a report by New World Wealth. But the same report says City of Joy, Kolkata, is fast catching up as the city reported 9,600 millionaires, thereby beating major cities such as Bengaluru (7,700 millionaires); Hyderabad (,9000 millionaires); Pune (4,500 millionaires) and Chennai (6,600 millionaires).
