MUMBAI: Kwan, one of the largest talent management companies in the country in sport and entertainment has made an official statement confirming that its co-founder Anirban Blah will not be welcomed back to the company in any capacity in the future.
Blah, who has been accused in the media by four anonymous women of sexual harassment in the wake of the #MeToo movement, made further headlines recently as he allegedly attempted committing suicide at Vashi Bridge in Navi Mumbai where he was stopped by the police.
Issued by Kwan co-CEO Vijay Subramanian, the statement read:
‘We at Kwan wish to empathically state that Anirban Das Blah’s exit from the company is final and conclusive. We have no sympathy for him. We see this as an opportunity to immunize ourselves from this kind of toxicity in the future. KWAN has never been about one individual, it has always been and will continue to be about the collective.’
The company represents top Indian sportspersons such as Dinesh Karthik, Dipika Pallikal, Shubman Gill, Shikhar Dhawan and Sania Mirza. It is also contracted with Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor’s Indian Super League (ISL) team, Mumbai City FC.
