LIVERPOOL has been recognised as the fastest-improving football club in India, according to YouGov’s Sports on the Rise in 2025 (India) report, with its Index score climbing by +3.6 points.

The study spotlights sports brands showing the strongest year-on-year gains in overall brand health. Rankings are determined by movements in YouGov’s Index, which reflects six core measures: impression, quality, value, satisfaction, recommendation, and reputation.
Liverpool’s surge comes on the back of a landmark Premier League title win, with the club registering notable gains across all demographics — men (+3.1), women (+4.2), Gen Z (+2.9), and Gen X (+6.6).
The report also highlights India’s dual enthusiasm for global heavyweights and domestic talent. Two Indian clubs secured places in the top ten: Bengaluru FC (+3.0), following their run to the ISL Cup Final, and FC Goa (+2.2), after finishing second in the Indian Super League.

Liverpool saw the strongest gains across fan groups, particularly among women (+4.2) and Gen X (+6.6), while also leading Gen Z (+2.9). Inter Milan and AC Milan recorded notable growth with older fans, whereas Indian clubs showed rising appeal among younger audiences and women — Bengaluru FC performed well with women (+3.6) and Millennials (+3.4), while Jamshedpur (+2.6 Gen Z) and FC Goa (+3.0 Millennials) also stood out. This reflects a clear trend: European giants are consolidating loyalty among older fans, while ISL clubs are resonating more with younger demographics and female supporters.
