Lvmama to help Inter Milan expand Chinese presence

SHANGHAI: Inter Milan, the Serie A giants, have named Lvmama.com, China’s top tourism & leisure platform, as its official China travel partner.

According to the deal, the Chinese company is expected to organize “Football-tours” for Inter Milan fans and tourists across the country to watch and support the team live at the San Siro in Milan. 

Inter Milan aims to leverage China’s rapid growth in sports tourism, which is estimated to be around 30% on an annual basis. Football too, is finding more takers amongst the young generation. 

The sport-tourism industry is one of the fastest growing in China, with year-on-year growth rates of around 30%, especially thanks to new generations, most passionate about football.

“This partnership with LvMama is truly important for us,” Michael Gandler, Inter Milan’s Chief Revenue Officer said during a press conference in the city. 

“In addition to supporting the development of LvMama’s brand among our passionate Chinese fan base, LvMama will provide reciprocal value by bringing our long distance fans a step closer to the club.” 
 
He added that “Milan is already a beloved city of Chinese tourists, but by providing access to our matches, facilities and premium experiences, fans from throughout China can have a richer experience with our city.”  

Li Qiuyan, general manager of Lvmama (Brand and PR) said: “FC Internazionale Milano is one of the most important football clubs in the world and one of the most cherished here in China, this is a fundamental step for our internationalization strategy. For us, it is a great honour to work together with Inter and we will strive to take the best out of this partnership.”
