Madhya Pradesh CM visits LaLiga HQ to explore sports collab

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited the LaLiga headquarters in Madrid on the first day of his Spain tour to explore potential sports collaborations.

Yadav met senior officials and held a dialogue focused on sports, youth empowerment and investment cooperation, an official release stated.

During the meeting, Yadav proposed adopting the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for establishing a football centre in Madhya Pradesh, upgrading sports infrastructure, and launching a Spanish coaching-based youth training programme in partnership with LaLiga.

Yadav suggested that MP’s cultural diversity, wildlife, heritage sites, and tourism potential could be effectively promoted to a wider audience in Spain and across Europe through digital and on-ground co-branding campaigns during LaLiga matches.

He highlighted that such efforts would not only enhance the state’s tourism appeal but also strengthen the prospects of attracting foreign investment across sectors such as sports tourism, fitness, media broadcasting, and sports technology.

He also noted that the collaboration with LaLiga would extend beyond sports — offering opportunities for employment generation, increased social participation, international branding, and the promotion of cultural tourism in the state.

Yadav emphasised, “Our goal is to make Madhya Pradesh a leader not only in industry, tourism or education, but also in the field of sports.”
