MANCHESTER: Premier League giants Manchester United’s resurgence on the field since the end of last year has seen their financial performance improve as well as the club has claimed a record revenue total of 208.3 million pounds ($267 million) for a particular quarter, taking the October-December 2018 into account.
Although United had to pay out a whopping 19.6 million pounds ($25 million) to secure the exit of the beleaguered Jose Mourinho as its manager along with his support staff in the middle of the season, the team has bounced back to a huge extend courtesy his successor, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

Due to playing one additional UEFA Champions League home game, gate receipts increased to 39 million pounds ($50 million) during the quarter.
The overall operating profits were reported as 44 million pounds ($56.3 million).
For fiscal 2019, United expects revenues to reach between 615-630 million pounds ($787-806 million).
