Mary Kom to endorse Nestlé brand Everyday

MUMBAI: NestlĂ© India Monday announced boxing champion MC Mary Kom and her husband Karong Onkholer Kom as brand ambassadors for the Swiss packaged food company’s milk powder brand Everyday. 

Both the ambassadors and  NestlĂ© Everyday have a passion to achieve excellence and continuously work towards delivering superior experiences, an official release states.

Mary Kom, who won a record sixth World Boxing Championship in New Delhi in November, will feature in an integrated advertising campaign of Nestlé Everyday along with her husband.

Commenting on the association and campaign, Arvind Bhandari, general manager, Dairy, Nestlé India, said: “We are delighted to associate with World Champions Mary Kom and Karong Onkholer Kom who are a source of inspiration to the entire nation. Just like Nestlé Everyday has maintained its legacy of delivering unique taste for years, our new brand ambassadors have made India proud for a record sixth time. We are happy to kick off this exciting partnership with them.”

Excited at the association, six time World Champion Mary Kom, said: “I am super excited to associate with Nestlé Everyday. In between our hectic shedules and training, I and Karong look forward to our tea breaks with Nestlé Everyday for a richer and tastier experience.”

Mary Kom’s latest endorsement deal follows on from two announced in September. The first was with state-run telecom firm BSNL, which roped in India’s boxing queen, who hails from Manipur, as its brand ambassador for two years. BSNL is running television commercials, print advertisements and tariff plan endorsements with Kom.

The second, announced late September, sees the world champion as the face of Tribes India, an initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
