MUMBAI: Motivator, one of the subsidiary firms of Group M India, has appointed Mausami Kar as its managing director effective 1 October.
She is said to be the agency’s first-ever MD who is a woman and will work directly under Sameer Singh, CEO of GroupM- South Asia.
Kar is renowned for her wealth of experience in media as she had worked in top-level positions at companies such as Havas Group, IPG Group and ESPN-Star Sports over 25 years. Her journey with GroupM India began more than a decade ago and is known in the industry circles for leading Group M’s nationwide partnerships with Google and Airtel.
“It’s a welcoming change in the organisation. I have seen her work and feel her leadership skills and experience will play a vital role in the firm.” Singh was quoted as saying by Campaign India.
“It has been a rewarding journey at GroupM. I am excited and looking forward to the new assignment. My aim would be to become a trusted advisor to my clients and help them in delivering superior value while delivering the best to our partners.” Kar said.
