MUMBAI: Mumbai’s poor performance in the recently concluded domestic cricket season has resulted in the first casualties being the selectors.
Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) sources told Press Trust of India that all the four members of the senior selection committee, headed by former Indian fast bowler Ajit Agarkar, had put in their papers on Friday. It also comprised the likes of Nilesh Kulkarni, Sunil More and Ravi Thakkar.
The development was caused due to a Special General Meeting (MCA) held amongst MCA’s member units recently, which passed a resolution to fire the selectors.
Reportedly, the current ad hoc committee of the MCA took a legal opinion on the issue before it met.
