ICC MEN’S T20 WORLD CUP 2026 has become the most-watched edition in the tournament’s history, according to International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah, who revealed the milestone in a social media post on Wednesday.
Shah stated that viewership in India alone has surpassed 500 million, while concurrent viewership on JioHotstar reached a peak of 60.5 million during the tournament.
The figures are expected to rise further as India national cricket team prepare to face England cricket team in the semi-final on Thursday. Viewership could climb even higher if India advance to the final, where New Zealand national cricket team are waiting, with the title clash scheduled for Sunday.
