The internal tremors caused by Facebook parent Meta’s decision to fire over 11,000 employees, has also seen ripple effects across the top tier and down of the social network’s sports units.
According to SportBusiness, senior sports staff exiting include: Peter Hutton, global head of media partnerships; Joyee Biswas, head of media partnerships in Asia Pacific and Leonardo Lenz Cesar, head of media partnerships in Latin America.
Meanwhile, closer to home, WhatsApp India head Abhijit Bose and director of Public Policy Meta India, Rajiv Aggarwal have also resigned from their positions at the social media giant.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had announced last Wednesday that pink slips would be handed to employees across all units in the organisation and across the Family of Apps and Reality Labs. As per the blogpost shared by Zuckerberg, some teams will be affected more than the others.
