METASPORTS, MAKER OF multiplayer cricket game Hitwicket, has announced the appointment of Manoj Kadarla as head of Marketing, as the company “accelerates its global push”.
Kadarla, who joins Metasports from Dream11 after an eight-year stint across functions, will lead marketing across its current and upcoming portfolio, overseeing user acquisition, brand, partnerships, and social channels. He will also focus on building a scalable marketing engine, working closely with product, design, data, and growth teams, the company declared.
At Dream11, Kadarla was part of the platform’s core growth team, helping scale its user base to 270 million in India, managing multi-million-dollar digital ad spends and driving revenue growth through data-driven marketing, advanced attribution, and cross-functional collaboration, the company said.
“Manoj brings deep experience in building and scaling consumer platforms, along with a strong understanding of the sports gaming ecosystem” said Metasports CEO Kashyap Reddy via an official release. “As we sharpen our focus on global markets, his leadership will be key to building a high-performance marketing engine and positioning Metasports as a differentiated, globally relevant sports gaming brand.”
Founded by Reddy and Keerti Singh in 2020, Metasports is a mobile-first competitive sports gaming company building multiplayer sports games.
The Hyderabad-based startup is known for its game Hitwicket, which blends skill-based gameplay with community-driven experiences. It has over 18 million players across 109 countries.
Metasports has raised around $7 million in Series A funding from investors like Prime Venture Partners and Singapore’s Horizon Ventures. It also counts popular cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle as a strategic investor.
