JIOSTAR has kicked off its latest campaign for Pro Kabaddi League season 12 with the Kannada-language film ‘Ghus Kar Maarenge’, starring Indian cricketer KL Rahul.
The film is one of several regional and national films leading up to the new season, which begins on 29 August and will be broadcast live on JioHotstar and Star Sports Network.
Conceptualised by creative agency ZeroFifty, the story unfolds on a rustic road in Karnataka. Rahul, travelling with friends, comes face-to-face with a raging bull blocking the path. While the group debates what to do, Rahul wryly points out that this is no ordinary bull, but a “Bengaluru Bull” — one that charges head-on and smashes through.
A JioStar spokesperson said, “The campaign underscores the aggression and thrill quotient that fans can expect this season. With refreshing changes coming in, we had to depict how it will influence the approach of players. KL Rahul was the perfect match to bring that out with his subtlety and inimitable demeanour. His personality and connection with fans make him the ideal face for this iteration of the campaign.”
