PERNOD RICARD INDIA has promoted Sonia Arora to the role of director, consumer insights. Arora, who previously served as the company’s innovation insights and planning lead, shared news of the promotion through a LinkedIn update.
During her four-year tenure at Pernod Ricard India, Arora has played a key role in bridging consumer data with business strategy. In her new position, she will lead the company’s consumer insights function, positioning it as a core strategic driver to ensure the brand portfolio remains culturally relevant in an evolving domestic market.
Arora brings significant category expertise to the role, having previously held leadership positions at NielsenIQ and Nielsen. During her time at the research firms, she specialised in the BASES innovation practice, where she led product launch initiatives and research programmes across India, South Asia and North Asia for multinational clients.
Her professional experience also includes a notable stint at Diageo India and United Spirits Limited, where she focused on cultural insights and innovation planning across various stages of the product development lifecycle.
