Reebok India marketing head makes Twitter switch

MUMBAI: Social media giant Twitter has confirmed the appointment of Reebok India’s marketing director, Kanika Mittal as its head of LCS in North and East India. 

Taranjeet Singh, Twitter India’s director tweeted the official announcement on Tuesday which goes: “Excited to welcome @kanikamittal to the @TwitterIndia team. Kanika joins the Twitter team as the head of LCS, North & East India.”

Mittal responded: “Thank You @taranjeet24. Very excited about the “rocking” journey ahead :)”

Mittal has been a part of Reebok since 2007, starting out as an assistant marketing manager. Since her elevation to the post of marketing head in 2012, Mittal played a vital role in rebranding the adidas-owned firm from a mere sports brand to a fitness and lifestyle one that focused on women empowerment as well as achieving digital excellence. She is credited to have conceptualized the #FittoFight and #GirlsFight campaigns with Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut, which questioned stereotypes aggressively across issues such as gender discrimination in income and eve teasing that won several admirers.
