MUMBAI: Tennis superstar Roger Federer, who earlier this year regained possession of the iconic RF logo from Nike, Tuesday announced on his Twitter handle: “The RF hat is back!”
Federer, who signed a $300 million endorsement deal with Japanese brand Uniqlo in 2018 to make the switch from Nike, will be seen wearing the famous insignia when he returns to the court in 2021 in what many expect to be his last year on the professional tour.
Federer offered this comment on the Uniqlo website: “This hat has meant so much to me and to my fans over the years. It has given us a way to visibly connect, and I have appreciated the opportunity to thrive off this supportive energy.”
Fans can purchase the RF hat starting December 8.
This was confirmed by Uniqlo on the brand’s Twitter handle: “Roger Federer got his logo back and we’re celebrating with a line of RF Caps.
“8 unique colorways at a price every fan will appreciate. Will become available on December 8.”
