STARS GOLF LEAGUE (SGL) is set to make its debut at the Els Club, Dubai, from 25–28 March 2026, bringing together India’s sporting legends, top golfers, and international icons for the inaugural edition.
The league will feature six franchises in team-based battles, comprising 24 golfers, six women professionals, and six celebrity players. The prize pool includes $1 million for professionals, while team owners stand to earn $300,000, $200,000, and $100,000 for finishing first, second, and third respectively.
India’s contingent will be spearheaded by Jeev Milkha Singh, the nation’s most successful golfer with 20 professional titles across the DP World, Asian, and Japan Tours. Joining him are women’s trailblazers Diksha Dagar, Ladies European Tour winner, and rising talent Tvesa Malik. Adding star power from cricket are legends Kapil Dev, also the PGTI chairman, and Yuvraj Singh, stakeholder and brand ambassador of the recently launched Indian Golf Premier League. Global names on the roster include South African cricket legend AB de Villiers, and football icons Ryan Giggs, Alan Shearer, and Ruud Gullit.
The SGL is helmed by Mahesh Bhupathi, Hemali Sharma, and Abbas Muni, who bring their proven experience from the World Tennis League and World Padel League, combining professional competition with star appeal in a fresh new format.

By bringing together legendary golfers, leading women professionals, and global icons on one stage, we are creating a platform that is both competitive and unforgettable. Dubai has always been a home to innovation in sport, and with this new league, we aim to redefine how golf is experienced and enjoyed.”
