MUMBAI: Indian broadcaster Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has announced that it will telecast all the races, along with a dedicated highlights program, from each round of the FIA Formula E Championship in season four on its sports channels.
In addition to live telecast of the races, the sports channels of SPN will also air the official magazine show – Street Racers.
The season’s first two rounds flag off in Hong Kong on December 2 & 3.
Rajesh Kaul, president, Sports and Distribution Business, Sony Pictures Networks India, noted: “We have strengthened our sports offering with the exclusive media rights for Formula E in the Indian sub-continent. The addition of Formula E in our portfolio is another step towards creating a multi-sport viewing culture. In order to engage our viewers, we are not only airing the live races, but will also present highlights & magazine shows for an enriched viewing experience. With the biggest names in motor sports participating in the race series including Mahindra, fans can look forward to the best in racing on our network.”

The Hong Kong round 1 began airing on SONY ESPN SD & SONY ESPN HD channels from 11:30 AM Saturday, while round 2 flags off Sunday at 12:30 PM.
