DR. SAHDEV YADAV has been elected President of the South Asian Weightlifting Federation (SAWF) at the federation’s election meeting held in Ahmedabad.
He currently serves as President of the Indian Weightlifting Federation, alongside roles as Treasurer of the Indian Olympic Association, Vice President of the Commonwealth Weightlifting Federation, and Assistant to the President of the Asian Weightlifting Federation.
Dr. Yadav pledged to focus on regional cooperation, athlete development, coaching standards, and infrastructure. Sabina Yadav, Joint Secretary of the Indian Weightlifting Federation, was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the SAWF, alongside the election of other office bearers to key positions.
