Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has appointed Rajaraman Sundaram as head of Content Strategy.
Sundaram has over 20 years’ experience in electronic media, having worked with Viacom18 Media, Asianet STAR Communications and Hathway Cable & Datacom, and Vijay Television.
Sundaram has had deep exposure to the southern markets, having worked at Vijay Television for almost 11 years in two phases: January 2011-March 2016 and April 2009-January 2015. On both occasions, he was in the finance department.
Sundaram’s most recent stint was at Disney Star India country manager and president K Madhavan’s office between August 2023 and November 2024. It is pertinent to note that Sundaram’s exit from the network coincided with Madhavan’s stepping down, after a 15-year tenure.
