MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited (SPNI), the Indian indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, has quietly instituted a corporate name change.
SPNI’s official company name has been changed to Culver Max Entertainment Private Limited with effect from 20th April. Other than this change of name, absolutely nothing changes as far as the Sony Network brand identity is concerned.
As to why that change, a Sony spokesperson stated: “Culver Max Entertainment continues to remain an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, and continues with the SPNI brand identity.
“The leadership wanted to change the corporate name and it has no impact whatsoever on the consumer-facing brand identity of SPNI.”
