SONY PICTURES NETWORKS INDIA has promoted Rupen Thakkar to Vice President and Head Counsel, overseeing Networks (Television and Sony Sports Network), StudioNext, and Corporate functions.

Thakkar has been with Sony Pictures Networks India for over three years, most recently serving as Senior Lead Counsel for Sports Television and Corporate. Prior to joining Sony, he held legal roles at Unacademy, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, IndiaCast Media, Sahara India, Nimbus Communications, and Overseas Infrastructure Alliance (India).
