NEW DELHI: The Union Sports Ministry has reportedly provided the seal of approval to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to shift this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) to the UAE.
Following the postponement of the T20 World Cup by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday, IPL is now set to be held during the window of September 19 to November 10.
As per The New Indian Express, the Sports Ministry sent the mandatory clearance to BCCI on Monday.
Now, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Union Home Ministry (MHA) have to give their clearances, following which the 13th edition of IPL can be held out of India.
