KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: ASEAN focused over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform SportsFix has added Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) to their content offering to sports fans in ASEAN.
SportsFix signed the deal with CBA offering live matches and recorded content via the SportsFix platform (www.sportsfix.tv).
The CBA, which is the first-tier professional men’s basketball league in China, is one of the most popular basketball leagues in Asia having attracted numerous well known NBA players and European stars.
There are also players from the CBA that have earned their ranks into the NBA namely retired player and current president of the CBA Yao Ming, and most recently in 2017 Zhou Qi, who joined the Houston Rockets.
“Basketball is a sport that is widely played among the youths in ASEAN and what better way to further grow one of the most popular leagues in the region by including the CBA as part of SportsFix offering, “ said Carl Kirchhoff, CEO of SportsFix.
“We are proud to have the CBA as part of our SportsFix content as it is the perfect fit to our growing list of offering catered for the region. The increased fan base and following will also help grow the sport even further,” added Kirchhoff.
The CBA is the latest content under the SportsFix stable that joins the Philippine Basketball League, K League Classic, Chinese Super League (CSL), Toyota Thai Premier League, LIGA 1 Indonesia and the Italian Serie A.
