T10 cricket League India launched

MUMBAI: A fresh edition of the T 10 Cricket League, floated by the Wadhwa brothers – owners of the T 10 Gully Cricket league – has been launched in Mumbai.

More than 1000 boys from Maharashtra turned up for the trials of season 1 of T 10 Cricket League India at the Central Maidan, Thane over the weekend, say the organisers. The franchise-based T 10 Cricket league will comprise eight teams with non First Class cricketers from across the country. Group A will include teams from Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan while Group B will witness teams from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka battle it out in the 16 -25 age group category, says an official statement.

The new league is a derivative of the T 10 Gully Cricket founded by the Wadhwa brothers in 2009. Cricketer Ishant Sharma was the brand ambassador for the league’s inaugural edition, while actor Riteish Deshmukh was brand ambassador during Season 2 with various Bollywood stars taking up ownership of the city teams – Divya Dutta (Ludhiana Gullies), Jimmy Shergill (Jalandhar Gullies), Prachi Desai (Surat Gullies), Rajpal Yadav (Kanpur Gullies) and Sanjay Dutt ( Sirsa Gullies) – among them.
