TGI Sport acquires virtual ad tech firm Supponor

Sports technology and media rights company TGI Sport has acquired Supponor.

While financial details were not disclosed, TGI Sport, which already holda a minority stake in Supponor, has reportedly paid $108 million for the live media virtual advertising specialist.

The deal is scheduled to close mid-summer. 

24-year-old Supponor will operate within TGI Sport’s technology division, adding its complementary capabilities to other recent TGI Sport acquisitions including virtual advertising company Brand Brigade and media rights and production companies ISG and Sportseen. 

Supponor’s AIR technology and experienced AI tech developers further bolsters TGI Sport’s virtual tech offering, whilst Supponor’s commercial and R&D teams add to the business’ leadership in tech development. Importantly, TGI can bring to the market a fully integrated model to create unparalleled monetisation opportunities for this newly combined and incomparable client network.
