CHENNAI: Indian Railways have beaten Chhattisgarh in the finals of the women’s 68th Senior National Basketball Championship to take the title. On the men’s side, home team Tamil Nadu overcame Services.
The final score Wednesday at the end of all four quarters for Indian Railways was 100-71. The top scorer for Indian Railways was their captain Navaneetha P U (no 10) with 30 points. While the top scorer for Chhattisgarh was Poonam Chaturvedi (no 10) with 27 points.
Tamil Nadu beat Services 94-86 to take the championship. For Tamil Nadu, their veteran international forward Rikin Jethani showed up and dropped 25 points leading them to victory.
