MUMBAI: The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) Monday announced TVS Apache as the Official Holeshot Partner for season 2.
The partnership celebrates the “most electrifying moment” in any Supercross race – the holeshot.
For the record, the holeshot is a term used in motorcycle racing to describe or reference the first racer to get through the apex of the first turn at the beginning of the race. In Supercross, the holeshot is awarded to the rider who reaches the first corner of the race ahead of everyone else after the starting gate drops. It’s a split-second burst of acceleration, skill and courage that sets the tone for the rest of the race.
Per an official release, TVS Apache, with its “Racing DNA Unleashed” philosophy, embodies that same spirit of instant power and perfect launch, making it the ideal brand to represent the holeshot moment in ISRL Season 2.
Backed by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as investor and brand ambassador, ISRL is set to bring 18 high-octane races, 3 Cities, 6 Teams, and 36 Global & Indian riders to audiences across Pune, Hyderabad, and the grand finale in December. Khan will also be present at select marquee races during season 2, adding star power and drawing mainstream audiences into the world of supercross.
Talking about the partnership, TVS Motor Company head – Premium Business, Vimal Sumbly, said: “We are thrilled to partner with ISRL as the Official Holeshot Partner for Season 2. For over two decades, the TVS Apache series has embodied our racing DNA, born on the track and built for pure performance, precision and control. The Holeshot moment perfectly captures what TVS Apache stands for — the surge of adrenaline, the instinctive command over speed and the relentless pursuit of excellence. This partnership is not just a celebration of racing, but of the passionate community that has powered TVS Apache’s journey for 20 years.”
ISRL co-founder & director Veer Patel added: “Bringing TVS Apache into the fold as our Holeshot Partner is a powerful step forward for ISRL. Their legacy in performance bikes resonates deeply with our mission to push motorsport in India to new heights. Together, we’ll spotlight the most decisive moment of every race, where champions are born.”
Season 1 success showcased India’s appetite for supercross, driving over 20Mn+ digital engagements and strong TV viewership within just 3 days of broadcast. Season 2 builds on this foundation, ensuring fans can experience the sport live in stadiums and on their television screens.
