CALIFORNIA: American swimming prodigy Katie Ledecky has been signed up as a brand ambassador by swimwear company, TYR Sport.
It is amongst the most lucrative sponsorship deals in swimming history, since Ledecky is considered to be the most marketable athlete in the sport after legend Michael Phelps.
The 21-year-old is renowned for having won 5 Olympic Gold medals and 14 World Championship titles to her name at such a young age.
According to TYR, it is not only her achievements but also her work in charitable organizations such as Children’s Hospital, Catholic Charities, Shepherd’s Table and Bikes for the World.

As a member of team TYR, Ledecky will join sponsored swimmers including Olympic medalists Ryan Lochte, Dana Vollmer, Matt Grevers, Cody Miller, Leah Smith, Lia Neal, Tom Shields and Kelsi Dahlia, as well as Olympians Jacob Pebley and Molly Hannis.
