The tournament, hosted by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), features both men’s and women’s T20 matches simultaneously, a first in India for a state-based league.
Sourav Ganguly and Jhulan Goswami, two legends of Bengal cricket, unveiled the league’s trophy at a ceremony in Kolkata last month. This eight-team franchise league promises to be a ground-breaking event, with all men’s matches held at the iconic Eden Gardens and women’s matches at the BCCI-approved Jadavpur University Salt Lake Campus Ground.
