MUMBAI: Viacom18 Media has appointed Siddharth Sharma as executive vice president (EVP) – Sports.
Sharma joined the Reliance-controlled network last month from The Walt Disney Company-owned Star Sports where he was senior vice president – Sports Content.
Sharma, who was with Star Sports since July 2013, joined the network from ABP News, where he worked for just under ten years.
Sharma’s appointment adds to the executive team being put together by Anil Jayaraj – chief executive officer, Sports, at Viacom18. Notable recent hires include Mallika Petkar, senior vice president – Strategy, Sports (from Disney+ Hotstar) and Amit Kumar Sinha, vice president & head of Pricing & Revenue Strategy – Sports (from SonyLIV).
