MUMBAI: Discovery Networks Asia Pacific announced Friday that Vijay Rajput – SVP – Affiliate Sales & Business head Eurosport, would be retiring from the network, effective 31st December.
Ruchir Jain, CFO, South Asia and Finance lead, Direct-to-Consumer, APAC at Discovery, will take over from Rajput to lead the distribution and Eurosport business.
Rajput has been associated with Discovery for over seven years. He joined the company in July 2014.

Vijay’s stellar contribution over the years has helped us in being at the pinnacle of factual broadcasting in India. Although it is hard to say goodbye, we once again thank him for inspiring us and wish him the absolute best for the next phase of his life. Elated about Ruchir taking up the role where he designs the next chapter of growth ahead,” Megha Tata, managing director – South Asia, Discovery Inc, was quoted as having commented on Rajput’s departure in an official release.
