WBD, Red Bull unveil MotoGP next gen docu-series ‘Born Racers’

Warner Bros. Discovery, in collaboration with Red Bull, have announced “Born Racers”, a six-part docu-series chronicling the lives of motorcycling’s brightest young talents.

The series captures their pursuit of glory in the prestigious Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, a key feeder series to the global Grand Prix racing circuit.

Streaming begins on 20th October exclusively on Eurosport.

The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, now in its 17th year, is regarded as the ultimate proving ground for aspiring MotoGP riders. Open to riders as young as 15, the Cup is renowned for producing world-class champions. Born Racers delves deep into the high-pressure world of these young racers as they navigate intense challenges, both on and off the track.

About the series
From hardships to motivation, Born Racers provides an inside look at the sacrifices these young athletes make as they chase their MotoGP dreams. Viewers are taken behind the scenes to witness the highs and lows of competition—family sacrifices, intense pressure, personal doubts, budding friendships, and fierce rivalries—as these riders push their limits to secure their spot in the elite racing world.

“We’re excited to partner with Red Bull to bring Born Racers to our audience, offering an authentic portrayal of the passion and commitment that defines these young talents,” said Arjun Nohwar, managing director at Warner Bros. Discovery India. “This series not only showcases the thrill of racing but also the personal stories of grit and resilience that shape future champions.”

Notable successes of the Rookies Cup
The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup has produced remarkable talent over the years. Currently, 29 former Rookies are competing in major world championships, with nine riders—including stars like Pedro Acosta, Jorge Martin, Joan Mir, and Brad Binder—having gone on to become MotoGP World Champions. Collectively, former Rookies have secured over 200 wins across Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP categories.

Why the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup stands out
The accessibility and relatively low barriers to entry have made the Rookies Cup one of the most successful racing academies globally. It offers young riders a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step into the spotlight, where the pressure is immense, but the rewards can be life-changing.

Streaming details
The six-part Born Racers series will stream its first episode from on 20th October at 9.45 am exclusively on Eurosport.
