THE BOARD OF Control for Cricket in India on Thursday added ChatGPT and Kingfisher as its premier commercial partners of the Women’s Premier League for the next two seasons.
Bisleri was unveiled as the beverage sponsor, with the three adding to the league’s existing cohort of commercial partners.
Their inclusion marks a notable expansion of the league’s partner associations with leading technology and beverage brands.
The new sponsorship agreements will bring an additional ₹48 crore to the WPL’s commercial kitty for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
The deals underscore the WPL’s rising brand value and its growing appeal among major Indian and global companies.
The updated commercial roster now includes TATA Group as Title Partner, with Sintex and Herbalife continuing as Premier Partners alongside new entrants ChatGPT and Kingfisher Packaged Drinking Water. CEAT retains its position as the Strategic Time-Out Partner, while Bisleri expands the lineup as the Beverage Partner.
BCCI president Mithun Manhas stated that “the confidence shown by leading Indian and international brands reflects the WPL’s rapid commercial rise”.
BCCI honorary secretary Devajit Saikia added that the new partners bring a “varied set of strengths” that will drive fan engagement and support the larger vision for women’s cricket in India.
“The WPL continues to redefine what women’s sport can achieve, both on and off the field,” WPL chairperson Jayesh George said. “The addition of esteemed partners such as ChatGPT, Kingfisher and Bisleri brings immense value to our ecosystem and reflects the league’s strong connection with a new generation of fans.”
ChatGPT is OpenAI’s AI-powered conversational assistant that understands and responds to people in natural, human-like language, while Kingfisher — a subsidiary of United Breweries Limited — has been in Indian sports commerce for more than a decade, including football, cricket and motorsports.
The new agreements are collectively valued at ₹48 crore and will cover the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
“The WPL has emerged as one of the most impactful sporting properties globally, and the confidence shown by leading international and Indian brands is a strong endorsement of its remarkable growth,” BCCI president Mithun Manhas said.
“From global leaders in AI, manufacturing and beverages to trusted Indian consumer brands, this partnership mix will play a critical role in shaping the fan experience and supporting the growth of women’s cricket,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia added.
