MUMBAI: TAM Sports has released the TAM AdEx Sports – IPL 15 Advertising Report, which has analysed data from the first 22 games of this year’s 15th edition of the Tata Indian Premier League, and for all the channels on which matches were telecast, and how it compares with IPL 14.

> When comparing 22 matches from each season, the average ad volume per channel increased by 3% during IPL 15 over IPL 14.
Count of Categories, Advertisers and Brands IPL 15
> While looking at 22 matches of IPL 15, the number of Categories and Advertisers grew by 9% and 5% in last 11 matches compared to first 11 matches.
Top Categories and Advertisers of IPL 14 and IPL 15
Common between IPL 15 and IPL 14
> Only 4 out of Top 5 categories were common between IPL 14 and 15 in first 22 matches.
> During first 22 matches, the Top 5 categories’ list had 4 categories from ‘E-commerce’ Sector with 33% share of Ad Volumes in IPL 15.
> The Top 5 categories together had 40% share of Ad Volumes in IPL 15.While Top 5 categories accounted on 33% share of ad volumes in IPL 14.
> Sporta Technologies was the only common advertiser among Top 5 advertisers during IPL 15 and IPL 14. Top 5 Advertisers contributed 22% share of Ad Volumes during 22 matches of IPL 15.
Common and Exclusive brands on National (Hindi+English) Channels vs. Regional Channels in IPL-15
> Century Ply was top exclusive brand on Hindi+English language Sports channels, whereas 7 Up leads the exclusive brands on Regional sports channels.
> Total 103 brands advertised on both Regional and Hindi+English sports channels during first 22 matches of IPL 15. Dream11.com was on top among the common brands.
