LONDON: Premier League has announced that it will be returning with the ‘Premier League Mornings Live’ in the USA as the fan festival lands in New York City on December 8 this year.
After the spectacular success of the first festival in Washington DC in September, when more than 2,000 fans attended the rooftop event overlooking the USA capital city, downtown Manhattan will host the second edition.
NBC Sports’ Premier League Mornings studio team of host Rebecca Lowe and analysts Robbie Earle, Kyle Martino, and Robbie Mustoe will broadcast live from the event at New York City’s South Street Seaport beginning at 07:00 ET (17:30 IST). They will be joined by special guests throughout the day, including the Premier League’s all-time leading scorer Alan Shearer and there will be a turf pitch, the Premier League Trophy, club mascots and much more.
“The atmosphere at the recent Premier League and NBC event in Washington DC was fantastic,” said Shearer.
“I met lots of extremely passionate and loyal fans and I look forward to meeting many more in New York in December.”
Premier League MD Richard Masters said: “We are excited to be working with NBC to bring the next instalment of Premier League Mornings Live fan events to New York City.
“The League and our clubs have a fantastic fanbase in the US and these events give us opportunity to directly engage with supporters, bringing them a real Premier League experience.
“We are excited to partner with the Premier League to build upon the new, more immersive event we presented earlier this fall in our nation’s capital,” NBC Sports Group CMO Jenny Storms said.
“The supporter response last November in New York City was tremendous, and we look forward to another great event.”
