MUMBAI: The Government of India through the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Monday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in sports with South Korea, ANI reports.
Sports Ministers of both the countries, Rajyavardhan Rathore of India and Do Jong-hwan of South Korea inked the pact on the latter’s recent visit to India. The MoU covers a range of areas including elite sports, sports science and anti-doping. The objective of this MoU is to establish a framework to facilitate and promote cooperation in sports between the two countries.
The cooperation under this MOU includes the exchange of coaches, athletes, experts, scientific and methodical materials; joint training for athletes and officials; participation in sports events, seminars, symposia and other areas that may be jointly decided upon by the sides. The sides will encourage exchanges and cooperative actions between sports authorities, sports federations and other sports bodies in the following areas of cooperation.
