MELBOURNE: Surfing Australia, the country’s governing body of the sport has announced an extension of its partnership with global brand Oakley for the next three years.
As a result, Oakley will continue to serve as the official eyewear and apparel sponsor of Surfing Australia’s nudie Australian Boardriders Battle Series. It is the biggest grassroots boardriders event series in the country that involves more than 65 of Australia’s best boardrider clubs across eight state qualifying rounds with 24 clubs competing at the National Final in Newcastle. Its purpose likes in building the profile and capacity of community boardriders clubs throughout the country.
In the past five years, Surfing Australia has invested $750,000 to encourage more clubs to participate in the series.

The nudie Australian Boardriders Battle is an event that the Oakley team are passionate and excited about, and we see valuable engagement with the Oakley brand through the state series and national final.
