SAN DIEGO: NBA superstar Stephen Curry has announced a new, multi-year partnership with virtual green putting technology firm Full Swing Simulators.
Curry’s interest in golf has been well documented as he will be hosting a PGA Tour event in the near future as well.
With this deal, US-based Full Swing will install its Pro 2 simulator in Curry’s home. All the company’s simulators have a patented dual tracking technology, combining high-speed cameras and infrared light wave technology to provide unmatched swing data and real-time ball feedback. Virtual Green uses thousands of data pinpoints under each green to allow golfers to practice putts with breaks on one putting surface through automated changing undulations. Virtual Green also features PuttView, which uses slope data to calculate and project a line onto the green, showing users the line of the putt.
“While I play professional basketball full-time, I have a true passion for golf and Full Swing’s incredible technology will allow me to pursue my love for the game year-round,” said Curry.
“Full Swing’s product accuracy and reliability provides an unparalleled golf and entertainment experience and will be a great addition to my house to enjoy during the offseason.”
“Stephen is a once-in-a-generation talent who transcends the game of basketball, and having one of the world’s best athletes opting to associate himself with our company and technology serves as a testament to the credibility, reliability and accuracy of our products,” said Jason Fierro, SVP of Sales & Marketing at Full Swing.
Through this partnership, Curry will follow the footsteps of big sporting names such as Tiger Woods and Jason Day to support the brand in its several marketing initiatives.
