Metro Brands appoints Manoj Juneja as Chief Business Officer for Sports Division

FOOTWEAR RETAILER Metro Brands Ltd. has appointed retail industry veteran Manoj Juneja as Chief Business Officer (CBO) – Sports Division, reinforcing the company’s strategic focus on expanding its presence in India’s rapidly growing sports and athleisure market. The appointment became effective on June 23, 2026, with Juneja also joining the company’s senior management team.

Juneja brings more than 27 years of leadership experience across the retail, footwear, fashion and consumer goods sectors. In his new role, he will oversee Metro Brands’ sports portfolio, which includes globally recognised brands such as FILA, New Era, Foot Locker, and MetroActiv. He will be responsible for driving business expansion, strengthening brand partnerships, enhancing customer experience, and accelerating growth through integrated retail and omnichannel strategies.

The appointment comes as Metro Brands sharpens its focus on one of the fastest-growing segments of the footwear industry. Rising health consciousness, increasing participation in sports and fitness, and growing demand for comfort-led lifestyle products have fuelled rapid growth in India’s sports and athleisure market.

Before joining Metro Brands, Juneja served as Chief Executive Officer of Crocs India Marketing Pvt. Ltd., where he led both the Crocs and Hey Dude businesses in India. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer – Reebok at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. and has also worked with leading global brands including adidas, Timex Group India, LG Electronics, and MIRC Electronics. His expertise spans profit and loss management, business strategy, operational scaling, market expansion and omnichannel retail development.
