JAKARTA: The 18th Asian Games is set to sell more than 1.2 million tickets, a member of the organizing committee said here on Wednesday.
“We will sell over 1.2 million tickets during the Asian Games for all the sports,” Danny Buldansyah, an organising committee official, was quoted by Kontan media as saying.
The tickets are sold online with prices hovering from 750,000 rupiah ($52) to 7.5 million rupiah (about $520), reports Xinhua news agency.
A total of 11,000 athletes and officials will participate in the Asian Games which will run from August 18 to September 2 in Jakarta and Palembang.
