THE ALL INDIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION (AIFF) on Monday announced the appointment of KPMG India Services LLP as its consulting partner to manage the monetisation of its commercial rights for a limited term.
The move follows a Request For Quotation (RFQ) process initiated last week, inviting bids from leading consulting firms to manage the awarding of these rights. After a review, AIFF confirmed that KPMG had been selected.
The decision was finalised by a three-member Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC), chaired by former Supreme Court judge Hon’ble Justice L. Nageswara Rao, alongside AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey and independent member Kesvaran Murugasu.
The development comes in the backdrop of proceedings before the Supreme Court, where the AIFF and its current commercial partner, Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), reached a consensual resolution. Both parties agreed to run an open, competitive, and transparent tender to select a commercial partner for the Indian Super League (ISL), in line with global best practices.
The tender process is expected to conclude by 15 October, offering clarity and stability to clubs, broadcasters, sponsors, and other stakeholders across Indian football.
