‘Dream Icon’ Usain Bolt wows Mumbai; next up Delhi

USAIN BOLT kicked off his India tour in Mumbai on Friday, hosted by DreamSetGo, the bespoke sports experiences and travel platform.

Bolt’s visit also marks the launch of Dream Icons, DreamSetGo’s signature IP that brings some of the world’s greatest sporting legends face-to-face with Indian fans through immersive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

As DreamSetGo’s inaugural Dream Icon, Bolt headlined the Mumbai grand finale of Dream Dash — India’s national school sprinting initiative giving young athletes the chance to compete through city-level qualifiers. The debut edition saw more than 7,000 students from 400 schools across 15 cities participate. Hosted at Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai, the finale gave students the rare opportunity to showcase their talent before the world’s fastest man. Bolt interacted with participants, answered questions, shared stories from his career, and presented prizes to the winners, per an official release.

With the Mumbai leg complete, Dream Dash now heads to Delhi for its second grand finale at Pathways School on Sunday, 28 September, where Bolt will once again meet and inspire young athletes and fans as part of Dream Icons.

Once his DreamSetGo engagement is through, Bolt will next be fronting Puma activations in Mumbai on 30 September and 1 October at Mukesh Mills. These include ‘Fast Lane’, a showcase of supercar stunts and music featuring six DJs. And ‘For The Game’, a 5v5 exhibition football match between Puma-sponsored clubs Mumbai City FC and Bengaluru FC. Tickets for both events are now live.

Reflecting on his experience so far, the release quotes Bolt as stating: “Being in India with DreamSetGo is an incredible experience. Meeting so many passionate fans reminds me why sports matters and why it connects people everywhere. The energy here is amazing, and I’m glad to be part of DreamSetGo’s vision to create world-class experiences that bring fans even closer to the sports they love.”

DreamSetGo co-founder Daniel D’Souza noted, “Having Usain Bolt as our first Dream Icon in India underscores our commitment to making sporting legends accessible in the country. It isn’t just about the spirit of sports, it’s about inspiring young athletes and turning dreams into memories they’ll never forget.”
